Provan Hall is one of the oldest buildings in Glasgow, dating back to the fifteenth century. It was featured in STVs top ten most haunted places in Glasgow.
It was built in the mid 15th Century, and is reputed to have three resident ghosts. Blochairn House is supposed to be haunted by the last owner of Provan Hall – Reston Mather. There have been sightings in Blochairn House and inexplicable noises heard from the floors above. Furniture has also been known to move in the dining hall. A previous investigation by members of our crew encountered phantom footsteps, inexplicable bangs/taps and electronic voice phenomena .
The older house (Provan Hall) is said to be haunted by a woman and a boy who were killed upstairs.
Provan Hall was home to many powerful figures over the years, such as King James IV of Scotland and Sir Robert Hamilton to name a few. Provan Hall survived through many violent times such as the civil war and reformation, so it’s more than likely that small skirmishes may have happened around Provan Hall.
Will you be brave enough to join the Scottish Ghost Nights crew as they enter the dead of night to communicate with the spirits of Provan Hall?
Throughout your night you will take part in vigils, seances, table tipping, ouija and have use of our technical equipment. All will be under the expert guidance of the trained crew and medium.
